Adelphi Hosts Public Health Experts for Health Equity Talk
Garden City, NY (11/15/2024) — Adelphi University's Robert B. Willumstad School of Business is proud to announce the upcoming panel discussion on health equity, titled "Making the Business Case for Health Equity." This event, part of the esteemed Hagedorn Lecture Series on Corporate Social Responsibility, will take place on Wednesday, November 20, at Adelphi's Ruth S. Harley University Center.
The panel will feature prominent health systems experts and community-based healthcare organizations, who will delve into the importance of health equity and its impact on outcomes and market advantage.
The discussion will be moderated by Adelphi's Clinical Professor Alan Cooper, PhD '95, and will include panelists:
- Leonard Achan '99, RN, MA, ANP, president & CEO of LiveOnNY
- Larry Eisenstein, MD, MPH, FACP, chief public and community health officer at Catholic Health
- Andres Jimenez, MD, MSEd, MBA, MS, chief medical information officer at HealthPrevent360
- Joe Moscola, PA, MBA '06, executive vice president of Enterprise Management at Northwell Health
The event aims to explore the challenges hindering the achievement of health equity and how organizations can align their health equity initiatives with their overall goals and strategies. Attendees will gain valuable insights from these esteemed panelists, who are all actively involved in serving the Long Island community.
The lecture will be held at 6 p.m. in the Thomas Dixon Lovely Ballroom, located within Adelphi's Ruth S. Harley University Center. Admission is free, and the event is open to the public.
