Acclaimed Concert Pianist Philip Edward Fisher Returns to the Adelphi PAC

Garden City, NY (10/18/2023) — Philip Edward Fisher will bring The Romantic Piano to the stage upon his return to the Adelphi University Performing Arts Center (PAC) on Friday, October 27. The concert will feature the music of Brahms, Chopin, Liszt, and Rachmaninoff.

Highlights of the performance include Brahms' Klavierstucke Opus 119; Liszt's Consolation No 3, S. 172, Liebestraume No 3, S. 541, and Transcendental Etude No 11; Rachmaninov's Prelude Op 23 No 4, Prelude Op 32 No 12, Moments Musicaux No 5 Op 16, and Prelude Op 23 No 2; and Chopin's Berceuse, Op 57, Barcarolle, Op 60, and Sonata No 3, Op 58.

Mr. Fisher has a varied repertory and has performed internationally, both as a soloist and as a chamber musician. At 12, Fisher performed the Shostakovich Piano Concerto No. 2 in F major, Op. 102 at Symphony Hall in Birmingham. Fisher made his debut recording in 2010, performing Handel's keyboard suites on the piano. After numerous other recordings, in 2023, Fisher returned with the album "John Corigliano: Complete Solo Piano Music", much of which was recorded in the Concert Hall at the Adelphi PAC.

Philip Edward Fisher: The Romantic Piano will take place on the Westermann Stage of the Concert Hall at Adelphi's PAC at 7:30 p.m. A livestream of the performance will be available for those unable to attend in person.
