All exhibitions are hosted across the university's campus galleries and are completely free and open to the public.
Adelphi's Current & Upcoming Summer Exhibitions Lineup:
1. Strolleroptera - Solo Exhibition by Despina Zografos
Exhibition Runs: June 1 - June 21, 2026
Featured "Meet the Artist" Event: Wednesday, June 10, 5 to 7 p.m.
Location: Adelphi's Performing Arts Center (PAC) First Floor Gallery
About: This meticulous solo exhibition features a dozen intricately hand cut paper works inspired by the artist's childhood memories of growing up on the Greek island of Crete. Zografos' pieces celebrate and echo the complex geometric patterns passed down by the matriarchs of her family through traditional lace, crochet, and embroidery.
2. Reimagining the Future: Nurturing Change for a More Dignified and Meaningful Co-Existence
Exhibition Runs: June 1 - June 30, 2026
Curated by: Artivism: The Power of Art for Social Transformation
Location: Adelphi's Adele and Herbert J. Klapper Art Gallery (in the Ruth S. Harley University Center)
About: The Exhibitions Program is excited to host this inspiring presentation by the independent initiative Artivism. The exhibition unifies participating artists reflecting on individual and collective actions that will make their future selves proud. The works symbolize evolving mindsets and the proactive steps being taken today to prompt meaningful transformation within creators and society at large. Following its multi-venue run at Adelphi, this impactful display is scheduled to travel to the Offit Gallery, Gottesman Libraries, Teachers College, Columbia University, from July 7 through August 14, 2026.
3. Emergent Light - Solo Exhibition by Lisa Petker Mintz
Exhibition Runs: June 2 - August 2, 2026
Location: Adelphi's Swirbul Library Lovely Gallery
About: Spanning the bulk of the summer season, Emergent Light brings a breathtaking array of abstract paintings to the Swirbul Library gallery space. Mintz's artistic process begins in instinct and vulnerability; her canvases are pushed to the very edge of visual collapse before being dynamically brought back. The final works carry a profound physical history, bearing the weight of every creative decision, loss, and unexpected return beautifully upon the surface.
4. Art in the Heart - NYSATA Region 9 Exhibition
Exhibition Runs: June 8 - June 18, 2026
Location: Adelphi's University Galleries
