Adelphi Celebrates Autism Acceptance Month

Garden City, NY (04/04/2022) — In recognition of Autism Acceptance Month,Adelphi University will offer during April events that seek to expand the understanding of autism, neurodiversity and the importance of inclusion around the world.

Presented by Adelphi's award-winning Bridges to Adelphi Program, educational panel discussions will be led by neurodivergent students and faculty. In addition, there will be fundraisers, mural painting and a talent show to honor and celebrate individuals on the autism spectrum.

The Bridges to Adelphi Program offers individualized comprehensive academic, social and vocational services designed to make the transition from high school to college easier for students who have autism spectrum disorder, a nonverbal learning disability, or problems with executive functioning and socialization.
