Adelphi Event to Debunk Myths Surrounding Blockchain Technology
Garden City, NY (03/16/2021) — Adelphi University will host a panel discussion with finance experts on the topic of demystifying myths surrounding the use of blockchain technology, on Friday, March 26.
Blockchain is a public ledger that has over the years faced skepticism from the public and especially from financial institutions. Panelists Jeff Cooperstein and Peter Li from R3, a financial technology company, will use the event to clear all the myths about blockchain and answer questions from the audience.
Cooperstein is a financial market business development and technology specialist who focuses on bridging the gap between business and technology. He has extensive experience as a client, vendor and consultant in the industry having worked at NASA, Wall Street, Reuters, JP Morgan, Lehman Brothers and Barclays. He also founded his own consulting firm.
Li is a senior member of the R3 Developer Relations team in New York City. His responsibilities include contributing to open-source projects to boost developer experience, working with cloud providers like Microsoft and Amazon and contributing to enhancements of the core features of the Corda platform. He previously worked as a blockchain technologist at a Venture Capital firm on Wall Street.
"Demystifying Blockchain" is sponsored by Adelphi's Elizabeth and Allen Don Center for Innovative Technology and Decision Sciences, the Robert B. Willumstad School of Business and R3.
The panel discussion is open to the public, but registration is required. To register, visit bit.ly/AU3-26-21.
