Adelphi Hosts Apprentice Challenge For Local High School Students

Garden City, NY (11/01/2023) — Students from 26 local high schools will pitch their business ideas at the 2023 Adelphi Apprentice Challenge: Business Conference on Friday, November 3. The day-long annual event will begin at 8 a.m. and be held at Adelphi's Garden City campus.

Approximately 250 students from Nassau, Suffolk and Queens will be divided into teams to assemble a strategic marketing plan based on a case study to present to a distinguished panel of judges. This year's case study will be presented by Guac Shop Mexican Grill.

Expert business faculty from Adelphi's Robert B. Willumstad School of Business will provide insight on key marketing components and how to successfully create a marketing plan. Teams will present their plan to Adelphi Alumni, faculty and staff and Luke Tesoriero and Matt Tesoriero, co-owners of Guac Shop Mexican Grill.

The team that creates the most successful marketing plan will be awarded the coveted title of the "Adelphi Apprentice."
