Adelphi Hosts Virtual Apprentice Challenge for Local High School Students
Approximately 269 students from Nassau, Suffolk and Queens will take the challenge.
Garden City, NY (11/09/2020) — Top young business minds from 25 local high schools will compete in Adelphi University's 2020 Virtual Apprentice Challenge: Business Conference on Friday, November 13. The competition will run from 9 a.m. to noon. via Zoom.
Approximately 269 students from Nassau, Suffolk and Queens will be divided into teams and tasked to assemble a successful strategic marketing plan based on a sample case assignment. Teams will then present to a distinguished panel of judges from Adelphi and Jovia Federal Credit Union.
The annual competition has been bringing talented, ambitious students together from across Long Island since 2007. More than 2,700 "apprentices" have participated, including a number who have gone on to study at Adelphi's Robert B. Willumstad School of Business.
The team that creates the most successful marketing plan will be awarded the coveted title of the Adelphi Apprentice.

The event is part of Adelphi's Annual High School Special Event Series, a series designed to give high school students a chance to experience college life while gaining self-confidence, making social connections and exploring areas of interest.
