Adelphi Opens Applications for 2026 Summer Pre-College Programs, Introduces New Non-Credit Academies
Garden City, NY (02/16/2026) — Adelphi University has opened applications for its 2026 Summer Pre-College Programs, offering high school students the opportunity to engage in rigorous college-level coursework while exploring academic interests and college life. Programs will run from July 12 through August 1, 2026, on Adelphi's Garden City campus.
Three-Week, Credit-Bearing Pre-College Program (July 12-August 1, 2026)
The centerpiece of Adelphi's summer offerings is its three-week, credit-bearing Pre-College Program, open to rising 10th through 12th grade students. Participants earn three transferable Adelphi University credits while experiencing the pace and expectations of a full college course.
Students may enroll as residential or commuter participants, providing flexibility while offering an immersive academic experience taught in person by Adelphi's award-winning faculty.
The 2026 credit-bearing courses include:
Arts and Humanities:
- Art Foundations: Portfolio Development in Drawing and Design
- Music Production and Sound Mixing
- Writing for College, Careers, and Creativity
STEM and Emerging Technologies:
- Coding and AI for Future Tech Leaders
- Quantum Engineering
Healthcare:
- Introduction to Nursing as a Career and Profession
- Pre-Med: Microbiology, Nutrition, and Human Disease
- Psychology and Pop Culture
Law and Social Sciences:
- Communications and Critical Thinking-
- Pre-Law: Understanding the Bill of Rights
- Psychology and Pop Culture
One Week, Non-Credit Academies (July 20-24, 2026)
Adelphi will also offer two 1-week, non-credit academies July 20-24, 2026. These commuter-only programs are open to rising 9th through 12th grade students and provide a focused introduction to college-level learning and career exploration.
The 2026 Academies include:

- Business and Leadership Academy: Launch Your Startup
Virtual information sessions are scheduled for February 25 and March 24, providing prospective students and their families with detailed insights into the program structure, course offerings, and application process.
Applications for the Summer 2026 Pre-College Program will close on Friday, June 12. Interested students are encouraged to apply early, as spaces are limited and fill quickly.
