Garden City, NY (03/11/2024) — Adelphi University's students took part in the University's annual Shark Tank-style Business Plan Competition on Friday, March 1. The competition gives students the chance to explore entrepreneurship, develop skills, and turn their ideas into viable business ventures with feedback from industry professionals.

Finalists, working individually or in teams, presented their business proposals to a panel of judges, including business leaders and Adelphi faculty members, who provided mentorship and feedback as well as awarded the winners based on appropriate and responsible business approaches.

"Developing a business plan provides hands-on experience in conducting market research, creating financial projections, and presenting their ideas to judges or even potential investors," said Murat Erogul, associate dean of Adelphi's Robert B. Willumstad School of Business. "With the great help of our mentors and judges, finalists get practical feedback, constructive criticism and guidance to improve their business plans and entrepreneurial skills."
