Adelphi Theater Students to Present Performances of The Harvest

Garden City, NY (09/11/2025) — Adelphi University's Department of Theater students will bring the 2017 play The Harvest, directed by Tommy Schrider, to Adelphi Performing Arts Center Thursday, September 25, through Sunday, September 28. All performances will take place in Adelphi PAC's Black Box Theatre.

The Harvest, written by Samuel D. Hunter, the original playwright of the 2022 A24 film The Whale, explores issues of faith, family and sexuality as five young Christian evangelicals in a church basement prepare themselves for a mission to the Middle East. One of them, Josh, is reeling after the death of his father and has bought a one-way ticket with no plans to return. But when his estranged sister returns to stop him, his choice to leave becomes complicated.

"The Harvest" is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French, Inc.

Tickets start at $25, with discounts available to seniors, students, Adelphi alumni and employees. For more information, call the Lucia and Steven N.
