Adelphi University Launches Fall Enrichment Academy to Spark Curiosity and Creativity in K-8 Students
Garden City, NY (09/29/2026) — Adelphi University is excited to welcome young learners to its Garden City campus this fall for its new Adelphi Enrichment Academy. Designed to empower children's curiosity, creativity and confidence, the Academy's Fall Saturday programs offer inspiring learning experiences led by dedicated educators in the vibrant, supportive university environment Adelphi is known for. This new offering follows the University's successful Summer 2026 half-day summer pilot program.
Moving beyond the traditional classroom, the Adelphi Enrichment Academy encourages students in grades K-8 to ask questions, experiment and learn by doing. Whether a child is interested in working with new technology, expressing themselves through theater, or developing foundational skills through play, these programs will offer a unique opportunity to pursue new passions and connect with peers.
Diverse Course Offerings for Every Interest
Through Adelphi's Enrichment Academy, Students will learn by working together to create and bring new ideas to life through four program tracks:
- Foundations and Exploration: Adelphi Early Explorers (Grades K-1) builds confidence, collaboration and foundational skills through movement, play, and creative projects.
- STEM and Technology: Students use engineering and scientific thinking to turn ideas into reality. Courses include STEM Workshop (Grades 2-8), Video Game Design and Development (Grades 2-8), Python I & II (Grades 4-8) and 3-D Printing (Grades 4-8).
- Visual and Performing Arts: Young artists learn to develop creative skills, storytelling and performance techniques through World of Color (Grades 2-8), Starlight Stage: Improv and Theater (Grades 2-8) and Music Creation Workshop (Grades 2-8).
- Communication and Humanities: Students can find their voice and build public speaking confidence through Creative Writing (Grades 6-8) and Public Speaking (Grades 6-8).
Fall 2026 Saturday Program Details
Offered for six weeks this fall, Saturdays at Adelphi can become a time for young people to learn, create, and grow. Students may register for one course in each of the available time slots:
- Eligibility: Students entering grades K-8
- Dates: Six sessions running, October 24 - December 5, 2026 (No classes on November 28)
- Times: Two sessions per day - Session 1 is 9 to 10:25 a.m. | Session 2 is 10:30 a.m. - 12 p.m
- Tuition: $300 per course, with discounts available for siblings, Adelphi alumni, university staff and institutional partners.
- Keep Curiosity Going All Year: In addition to the Fall Saturday Programs, the Adelphi Enrichment Academy will also host engaging Summer Camps for kids in grades K-8, combining hands-on discovery with summer fun.
