Dublin Guitar Quartet Brings New Music to Adelphi PAC

Garden City, NY (10/24/2023) — Dublin Guitar Quartet, the first classical guitar quartet entirely devoted to new music, takes to the Adelphi University Performing Arts Center (PAC) stage on Friday, November 3 at 7:30 p.m. They will present an evening of works by Philip Glass, Bryce Dessner, Rachel Grimes, Marc Mellits, Wojciech Kilar, and Arvo Part.

Since its formation at the Dublin Conservatory of Music and Drama, the Dublin Guitar Quartet has worked to expand the limited repertoire for guitar quartet by commissioning new works and adapting contemporary works from outside of the guitar repertoire, creating an original catalogue of selections for their configuration. Dublin Guitar Quartet has been described as a "quartet with a difference" by the Irish Times. Dublin Guitar Quartet's international touring is supported by Culture Ireland.
