IT Experts to Discuss Managing Cyber Security at Adelphi Event

Garden City, NY (09/13/2021) — In the wake of cyber attacks on businesses around the world, a recent assessment of cybersecurity maturity revealed that many businesses still have a lot to do to secure their information and assets against growing threats.

At 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 29, Adelphi University will host "Managing Cyber Security to Enable Digital Trust," which will bring together three technology, cyber security and risk experts to discuss how to manage cyber security and enable trust in digital transactions.

"The panel, hosted by Adelphi's Don Center, will explore the challenges and opportunities companies face in developing and improving cybersecurity capabilities to achieve comprehensive resilience and digital trust," said Gita Surie, PhD, a professor of management at Adelphi's Robert B. Willumstad Business School.

Panelists for the virtual event will include Russel Safirstein, president and CEO of Redpoint Cybersecurity; Fred Harris, head of cybersecurity, data and technology risk and compliance at Societe Generale, Mark Schlesinger, Senior Technical Fellow (former CIO), Broadridge Financial Solutions, Inc. and Bob Kalka, Vice President of the IBM Security Business Unit.
