Mario Cantone Joins "Celebrity Autobiography" at Adelphi PAC on April 30

Garden City, NY (03/28/2022) — "Sex and the City" star Mario Cantone has been added to the talented cast of the award-winning Broadway comedy "Celebrity Autobiography" at the Adelphi University Performing Arts Center (PAC) on Saturday, April 30. The international comedy hit also features such stars as Emmy-winning actress Susan Lucci and the Emmy-winning Alan Zweibel, an original "Saturday Night Live" writer, acting out the memoirs of other stars. The critically acclaimed show has been seen around the world from London's West End to Australia's Sydney Opera House to Broadway.

Running for 10 sold out years, "Celebrity Autobiography" features top performers bringing to life the actual memoirs of a wide range of celebrities. How does Vanna flip her panels? What does Stallone store in his freezer? Why did Justin Bieber get stuck in the trunk of a car? What does Hasselhoff reveal about the beauties of Baywatch? And what's remarkable and unforgettably hilarious - it's all "in their own words". This unique, no holds-barred show is unlike anything else and has played for sold-out crowds all around the world including London's West End, Edinburgh, Australia's Sydney Opera House and Broadway.

Cantone recently reprised his role as Anthony Marentino in "And Just Like That", the "Sex and the City" sequel on HBO MAX. Cantone is also known for his stage work and stand-up comedy, including his Tony-nominated one-man show "Laugh Whore". Cantone's Broadway credits also include the Tony-winning "Assassins" by Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman, Terrence McNally's award-winning dramatic comedy "Love! Valor! Compassion!" and Shakespeare's "The Tempest" at the Public Theater. Film credits include Sony's animated film "Surf's Up" and the hilarious film "The Aristocrats".

Zweibel has won multiple Emmy and Writers Guild awards for his work in television, which in addition to "Saturday Night Live" also includes "It's Garry Shandling's Show" (which he co-created and produced), "The Late Show With David Letterman" and "Curb Your Enthusiasm". His theatrical contributions include his collaboration with Billy Crystal on the Tony Award winning play "700 Sundays", Martin Short's Broadway hit "Fame Becomes Me" and six off-Broadway plays.

Cantone and Zweibel join the previously announced Susan Lucci, the reigning queen of daytime television. She held audiences spellbound for nearly five decades as the famed and fiery Erica Kane on ABC's "All My Children." With more than 20 Emmy Nominations, Susan made television history in 1999 when she won the Emmy Award for Best Actress, becoming the most nominated actor in television history. Her iconic career lead her to roles in the primetime drama, "Devious Maids"; her part in the highly acclaimed movie "Joy" and her Broadway debut as Annie Oakley in "Annie Get Your Gun". Susan earned her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2005; she was inducted into the Broadcasting Hall of Fame in 2006 and in 2011 released her New York Times best-selling autobiography, "All My Life". She has been a proud resident of Garden City, NY, for over 50 years.

Audiences at "Celebrity Autobiography" are treated to an evening of non-stop laughter as an eclectic mix of talented, hilarious performers act out classic excerpts from a range of celebrity tell-alls. The cast will also include Emmy nominated writer-performer Eugene Pack, creator of the show and Dayle Reyfel, developer by Pack and Drama Desk winner. Additional cast members will be announced at a later date. The cast is subject to change.
