Princeton Review Ranks Adelphi Among Best in the Northeast

Garden City, NY (08/20/2020) — The Princeton Review has ranked Adelphi University among the Best Northeast Colleges in 2021, the organization announced this week. The "2021 Best Colleges: Region by Region" web feature salutes 655 colleges in five zones-Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, West, and International.

"We chose the outstanding institutions on this list primarily for their academics," said Robert Franek, Princeton Review's editor-in-chief. He noted that the company considered data from its survey of administrators at several hundred colleges in each region, information from staff visits to schools over the years, and the opinions of college counselors and advisors whose perspectives the company solicits. "We also consider what students enrolled at the schools reported to us on our student survey about their campus experiences," Franek added.

Princeton Review's survey asks students to rate their colleges on dozens of issues and to answer questions about themselves, their fellow students and their campus life. Comments from surveyed students are quoted in the school profiles on the Princeton Review website.

"Adelphi is honored to once again be included in the Princeton Review's Best in the Northeast," said Kristen Capezza, Adelphi's vice president of enrollment management and university communications."We value national rankings as a key part of our efforts to continue the strong awareness and reputation of Adelphi. Although they can never measure all the efforts of our community, they are a powerful tool for communicating to parents, potential students, and school counselors, and other influencers where Adelphi stands in the higher education landscape."

Princeton Review has also recently ranked Adelphi's Robert B. Willumstad School of Business highly and included the University among the most environmentally responsible institutions in the country.
