Tomorrow: An Evening of the Adelphi Symphony Orchestra at Adelphi's PAC

Garden City, NY (11/09/2023) — Adelphi University's talented students, alumni, faculty, and staff members will perform in the Department of Music's Adelphi Symphony Orchestra at the Adelphi University Performing Arts Center (PAC) tomorrow, Friday, November 10. The program will include both classical and contemporary music.

The orchestra, under the direction of Stefano Miceli, will perform timeless treasures and favorites from the orchestral canon, including works by Edvard Grieg, Ottorino Respighi, Franz Schubert, and Pablo de Sarasate. The featured soloist in the Sarasate "Carmen Fantasy" will be Italian violinist Francesco Borali.

Francesco Borali is a violinist at La Scala Philharmonic in Milan, Principal Concert Master at the Milano Metropolitan Orchestra, and he teaches at "Claudio Abbado" Conservatory of Music in Milan. He has performed with international conductors such as Zubin Metha, Riccardo Muti, Valery Gergiev, among others.

Adelphi Symphony Orchestra performance will take place at Adelphi's PAC at 7:30 p.m. The event will also be available via livestream.

Tickets are $30, with discounts available to seniors, students, alumni and employees. Livestream access is $20. For more information call the Lucia and Steven N.
