Adelphi Brings Business Experts Together to Discuss Digital Transformation in a Post-COVID Era

Guests Include Reps from Amazon, Salesfore, Colgate-Palmolive, Metaculus and Broadridge Financial Solutions

Garden City, NY (02/16/2021) — With the coronavirus pandemic forcing business and education to go online, Adelphi University will hold a panel discussion on Tuesday, February 23, "The Digital Transformation of Business in the Post-pandemic Era." The virtual event, which runs from 3 to 5 p.m., will cover the impact of the pandemic on global business as well as the world of work resulting from an increase in the use of technology.

Panelists Jessica Kowalski from Amazon Web Services, Alexandru Oanca from Salesforce Services, Karam Kapur from Colgate-Palmolive, Gaia Dempsey from Metaculus and Mark Schlesinger from Broadridge Financial Solutions will take part in the discussion. A question and answer session will follow as well as a networking event for students and faculty to meet with individual panelists in virtual breakout rooms.

"The pandemic presents challenges and opportunities in global business unlike any other time in modern history," said Gita Surie, a professor at Adelphi's Robert B. Willumstad School of Business. "We're delighted to have such a distinguished group of experts to help address this challenging topic."

The event is sponsored by the Elizabeth and Allen Don Center for Innovative Technology and Decision Sciences -- part of Adelphi's Robert B. Willumstad School of Business -- and Ridgewood Savings Bank.

The panel discussion is open to the public, but registration is required. To register, please visit bit.ly/au2-23-21.
