Garden City, NY (04/18/2023) — On April 21, Adelphi University and the Association of International Education Administrators will host "The Future of International Education: Creative Solutions for Contemporary Challenges." The forum will gather higher education professionals and students to focus on recent innovations in higher education and lessons learned since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Highlighting historical and contemporary trends in global education strategies, the forum kicks off with a keynote address from Bill Durden, Chief Global Engagement Officer of Shorelight Education, who will explore what the founding fathers can teach us about global engagement today. Shorelight is a leading platform in the U.S. that connects international students, universities, and service providers to drive student enrollment and performance at scale.
Panelists from universities including New York University, Pratt, Hofstra, University Alliance Ruhr, Stevens Institute of Technology, SUNY New Paltz, Rockland Community College, Norfolk State University, and Adelphi will join community partners to talk about virtual collaborations, creating programming that meets students where they are, and examining the needs of international students.
The in-person forum will be held on Adelphi's campus in Garden City, NY, from 9 am to 6 pm. Registration is $25 and includes continental breakfast, lunch, networking breaks and full admission to the keynote, a panel discussion on "Evolution and Revolution in International Education," and two breakout sessions.
