Adelphi Launches Professional Development Initiative for Local Companies
Garden City, NY (04/11/2023) — Adelphi University's College of Professional and Continuing Studies (CPSC) has launched Organizational Learning Solutions (OLS), a program allowing organizations to offer specialized training to their employees.
"As industries and the marketplace are swiftly changing, employees need to stay up to date with certifications that enable them to refine their skills and adopt new ones," notes CPCS Dean Andy Atzert.
By partnering with Adelphi's OLS, organizations can offer their employees discounted tuition on select Adelphi degree and non-degree programs taught by expert Adelphi faculty and industry leaders. Employees can even earn college credits for internal training programs, which can be customized to the needs of a specific organization. And, unlike other training programs, partner organizations will have access to an interdisciplinary network of faculty consultants who engage deeply with the organizations to tackle their real-world problems.
"I'm personally involved in launching OLS," says Dean Atzert. "I look forward to engaging and having conversations with leaders of organizations across Long Island about their talent development needs. Together, we can create a tailor-made program that delivers a superior ROI to the organization and the employee."
College of Professional and Continuing Studies' online programs include:
- Bachelor of Science in Emergency Services Administration
- Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies
- Bachelor of Arts in Social Science (On Campus)
- Certificate in English to Spanish Translation Studies
- Graduate Certificate in Emergency Management
- Master of Science in Emergency Management
Workshops, which generally meet once for three to six hours, cover mission-critical and timely topics ranging from from Digital Health and Smart Healthcare Platforms to Project Management and Addressing Suicide Risk. Certificate Programs include skills that are in high demand in today's economy such as cybersecurity, paralegal studies, diversity, palliative care, pharmacy technician and web development.
