Award-Winning Fiddler Sean Heely to Bring Celtic Christmas to Adelphi PAC
Garden City, NY (12/01/2025) — Champion Scottish fiddler Sean Heely and a cast of nationally acclaimed Celtic performers will debut at the Adelphi University Performing Arts Center (PAC) on Friday, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m., presenting "Sean Heely's Celtic Christmas," a festive journey through the holiday traditions of Scotland and Ireland.
The performance will feature traditional instruments such as the fiddle and bagpipes, accompanied by dancers from Scottish and Irish traditions, offering audiences an immersive experience of Christmastime and Winter Solstice celebrations. The program includes ancient Gaelic carols, lively Irish tunes, and familiar Christmas melodies with a Celtic twist.
Heely, based in Washington, D.C., is a U.S. National Scottish Fiddle Champion, award-winning Irish fiddler, Scots Gaelic singer, and harpist. He holds the rare distinction of being both a U.S. National Scottish Fiddle Champion and a U.S. National Champion in Scottish Gaelic (Gaidhlig) Song, showcasing his deep mastery of Scottish traditions in both instrumental and vocal forms.
