Enjoy the Music of "Valjean, Cosette, and a String Quartet" at Adelphi PAC on May 6
Garden City, NY (04/25/2022) — Tony-nominee Josh Young and his wife, Broadway star Emily Padgett, showcase some of Broadway's greatest music in "Valjean, Cosette, and a String Quartet" at Adelphi University Performing Arts Center (PAC) on Friday, May 6. The talented duo will celebrate the powerful musicals of the 1980's reimagined with a string quartet.
Young made his Tony-nominated Broadway debut as Judas in "Jesus Christ Superstar" and other performances include "Amazing Grace." Padgett is known for her work in "Rock of Ages," "Side Show" and "Bright Star." Songs from "Les Miserables," "The Phantom of the Opera" and "Cats" will be among the highlights of the concert. The lush music of the decade will be presented with the beauty and majesty that only strings can produce accompanied by the sweet percussive harmonics of Adelphi PAC's Fazioli piano and the signature, award-winning vocals of two of Broadway's brightest stars.
"Valjean, Cosette, and a String Quartet" is part of the Poole Family Broadway Series at the Adelphi PAC, which is sponsored by Mary Jane and Thomas Poole. The show takes place on the Westermann Stage at Adelphi's PAC Concert Hall at 8 p.m. on Friday, May 6. The performance will also be livestreamed for those unable to attend in person.
Tickets start at $40, with discounts available to seniors, students, alumni and employees. Livestream access is $20. For more information, call the Lucia and Steven N.
