High School Journalists Win Quill Awards at Adelphi Press Day Event
Garden City, NY (03/08/2021) — Adelphi University hosted approximately 225 students from local high schools across Long Island, Queens and upstate New York for the annual Press Day on Friday, February 26. The highlight of the event was presentation of the Quill awards, which recognized student-journalists for their outstanding work on their school newspapers.
This year, the Most Outstanding Newspaper Award went to New Hyde Park Memorial High School's, The Chariot.
Other award categories included: Best Visual, Best Illustration or Cartoon, Best Layout, Best One-Page Layout, Best Sports Story or Column, Best Arts Review, Best Opinion Piece, Best Editorial, Best Feature Article, Best News Article and Most Outstanding Reporter.
