Respect the Best: Aretha Franklin and Tina Turner at Adelphi PAC on March 12

Garden City, NY (02/23/2022) — A talented cast of Broadway vocalists joined by the North Shore Symphony Orchestra celebrate legendary performers Aretha Franklin and Tina Turner at the Adelphi University Performing Arts Center (PAC) on Saturday, March 12. Featured performers include Shaleah Adkisson (Hair) and CoCo Smith (The Book of Mormon) with two-time Grammy winner Tamika Lawrence (The Greatest Showman, Dear Evan Hansen).

Respect the Best: Aretha Franklin and Tina Turner provides a special night of music to include such favorite selections as "Respect," "Natural Woman," "What's Love Got to Do With It," "River Deep, Mountain High," "Proud Mary" and more. Respect the Best: Aretha Franklin and Tina Turner is part of the Poole Family Broadway Series at the Adelphi PAC, which is generously sponsored by Mary Jane and Thomas Poole.

Respect the Best: Aretha Franklin and Tina Turner will begin at 8 p.m. on Saturday, March 12 on the Westermann Stage at Adelphi's PAC Concert Hall. The show will also be livestreamed for those unable to attend in person.

Tickets are $45, with discounts available to seniors, students, alumni and employees. Livestream access is $20. For more information, call the Lucia and Steven N. Adelphi's priority is to ensure the safety of patrons, artists, staff and the entire Adelphi community against COVID-19. All audience members age 5 and over are required to show proof of full vaccination against COVID-19. Anyone under 5 or who is not fully vaccinated must show proof from a lab or clinic of a negative test taken within 72 hours of the performance. At home tests are not permitted. Anyone under 3 does not need to show proof of a test. All guests, regardless of age or vaccination status, will be required to wear masks while inside the Adelphi PAC.
