Vocal Ensemble amarcord Journeys Through Musical History at Adelphi PAC on March 27
Garden City, NY (03/03/2022) — The all-male vocal ensemble amarcord travels from Leipzig, Germany, to New York to perform "America!" at the Adelphi University Performing Arts Center (PAC) on Sunday, March 27. Their program traverses the history of vocal music in the United States.
Highlights of the show include works from George Chadwick and Horatio Parker, the father of American modernist music Charles Ives, "the Dean of American Composers" Aaron Copland, Samuel Barber, and contemporary American composers Steven Sametz, Vanessa Lann and Joanne Metcalf.
The amarcord: "America!" show will begin at 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 27, on the Westermann Stage at Adelphi's PAC Concert Hall. The show will also be livestreamed for those unable to attend in person.
Tickets are $30, with discounts available to seniors, students, alumni and employees. Livestream access is $15. For more information, call the Lucia and Steven N.
